I honestly can't believe we've reached the end of May already... The year is really flying by!
I decided to merge April & May together for this post as the majority of things I did throughout April were during the Easter holidays, which I have already spoken about here and I didn't want things to get too repetitive.
I have attended a few blogging events throughout the past couple of months including a visit to Show Beauty where I had my hair braided and was able to discuss all of the new products with the girls there.
I also went along to the intu Metrocentre SS17 Fashion Launch, Bridges Sunderland SS17 Fashion Show... both of which made me want to spend all of my money (I mean, look at those red Topshop trousers!) and Turtle Bay Middlesbrough's preview night.

I have also had a couple of meetings with brands and PR's who have been kind enough to travel up to see me, which is always a really nice feeling... I've said before that it must be so easy for them to forget about us Northerners, so when they make the extra effort for us, I really appreciate it.
During these meetings I have been introduced to some products which will be released later this year, and I'm so excited to talk to you about them on here soon - Some are really exciting!
We spent one Sunday at the National Glass Centre in Sunderland, which is such a great place to visit for a family day out. Entry is free, although they ask for donations and there are lots of things to see and do. Our favourite part of the day was watching the live glass blowing where they made a wine glass and a bowl - It's so impressive and really interesting.
It's been great to take advantage of the amazingly hot weather we've been having too, and Robbie and I spent a gorgeous few days in Newcastle. We soaked up the sun, enjoyed some shopping, delicious food and lots of (a few too many) drinks... It's made us want to go back again as soon as possible, I just love Newcastle so much.

The latest exciting and new thing to happen is that Elodie has joined Brownies, and she absolutely loves it! It's so nice to see her interacting with other children and coming out of her shell a bit more... I'm sure any other parents of shy children will totally get me when I say this, but it's a real worry when your child is quiet, and the fact that she's wanting to do more these days just makes me SO happy and proud of her. When I was little I always wanted to join Brownies, but for some reason I was never able to, or my parents just never got round to signing me up... I am so glad I've done it for Elodie.
