NYX are a beauty brand which still manages to really excite me. I think it's because their products haven't been readily available in the UK for long, and that every new release they bring out seems to top the previous one.

I am forever drawn to their amazing lip products, but during a recent shopping spree in Boots, I decided to try out a few new items. I have been using these for the last three weeks or so, and wanted to share my thoughts...

*SPOILER* I'm really impressed!
The only product I purposely set out to buy was the HD Studio Photogenic Concealer.
Tell me I'm not the only one who goes into Boots for one thing and comes out with a bag full?!

I have been wanting to try this for so long, but had a few other concealers on the go, so I held out until I really needed it. It has now become my go-to concealer for everyday use, covering my under eye bags and blemishes really easily.
This reminds me very much of the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, however I find it a little more hydrating and much easier to blend.

I bought the lightest shade, and as you can see from the swatch below, it's quite peachy toned. This works well for my skin tone to actually conceal, but for brightening and highlighting I still reach for my LA Girl Concealer
I picked up the Wonder Pencil, mainly out of curiosity; A multi use pencil with a name that acts as quite a big statement... I just had to give it a try.
I opted for 'Light', the palest of the three shades available (swatched below). The pencil can be used as a concealer, a reverse lip liner to help stop lipsticks bleeding or smudging and an eyeliner.

I don't find myself reaching for this on a daily basis, but on days when I am going for a full face of makeup, I find this really handy.
My favourite use for it is to define my brows as you can be extremely precise with the sharp tip. It's especially great for browns when they're a little overgrown and due a wax. I also love wearing it on my waterline, as it really opens up and brightens my eyes.

The formula is a little waxy, but this makes it soft to apply and easier to blend. As a concealer it's surprisingly high coverage and can be layered up really easily.
You will have seen me talking about my love for the 'Enigmatic' Illuminator in my recent Quarterly Favourites post, which already tells you how much I love this.
It's a really shimmery, yet not glittery golden peach shade that adds the most beautiful glow to my cheeks. I have been wearing this every day since buying it as it's just so flattering on my skin.
The fine powder formula makes it blend out really easily to look natural or it can be built up for more of a dramatic glow. It's the ideal Summer highlight... I just can't get enough!
The last item I decided to try was the Pore Filler Primer, a dupe for Benefit's Porefessional
This claims to minimise the appearance of pores and give a smooth finish to the face - both of which I agree with 100%.

It's a very fine, almost fluffy like formula and a tiny amount goes a really long way. It's unlike anything I have used before in this sense, but when applied to the skin, it leaves a velvet like finish, making the perfect base for any makeup, which is where I see the Benefit comparison.
This helps my makeup to sit so much nicer when my skin is dry and I find my base lasts longer throughout the day without me needing to touch up, not to mention how soft my skin feels!

Needless to say these products have left me wanting to try more from NYX, what do you recommend I try next?!
