I have seen plenty of oval makeup brushes over the past year or so, but none quite as beautiful and eye catching as the Luxe Studio range of rose gold brushes.
Since the first time I saw this style of makeup brush, I have been really intrigued to give them a try... and forgive me for the spoiler right at the start of the post, but they're even better than I thought they would be, comfortable to hold, easy to blend with and precise for application.
This design of the brushes is unlike anything I have ever used before, and I did wonder how it would compare to using the usual style makeup brush. From the very first use though, I found the brushes really easy to hold, possibly thanks to them being slightly weighted, they sit well in the hand and make makeup application comfortable and almost effortless.

All of the different size brushes have very soft yet dense, synthetic bristles, which feel wonderful on the skin, but also pick up and disperse any product (be it powder, cream or liquid formula) well for applying to the face.
Most of the brushes multi tasking, meaning that you can use them for more than one job, and not only are they for makeup, but they can be used for skincare and sun care products too.

When I was first introduced to the brushes, I assumed they would be expensive, but they are actually really affordable, especially the ones sold in packs of two and three brushes... I always think of brushes as an investment anyway, as they're a necessity in everyday life. They are sold in Boots stores and online too, making them easily accessible to everyone.
I have to apologise for the slight overload of photos... I just couldn't decide which to use as they're so photogenic! Who wouldn't want a set of beautiful rose gold brushes like these displayed on their dressing table?!

My most used of all of the brushes is the largest, the 9X Oval Face Brush. I use this to apply my moisturiser, my primer and my base every morning.
Thanks to the size of the brush, it's so quick and easy... My morning routine is so much faster than it used to be! The domed shape of the bristles helps the brush to fit into all of the contours of my face. I have noticed my foundation looks so much smoother and I am always left with a flawless finish to my skin - I had no idea a brush could make so much of a difference.

I also reach for the brushes from the K1 2 Piece Set which contains the 7X and 6X brushes on a daily basis. These are very similar to the largest brush, but much smaller in size, allowing for more precision with application.
As with all of the brushes, you can adapt them and use them for whatever you need to, but personally I have been using the 7X for applying and blending concealer under my eyes and using the 6X for contouring and highlighting (I have two, so I don't need to worry about cleaning them between every single use!)
For the finer details, the K2 Three Piece Set is all you could ever need. This includes the 6X (again!), the 5X and 3X brushes.
The 5X brush is the thinnest of all of the brushes, and I mainly use mine for applying highlight down the middle of my nose when contouring. On days when I'm going a bit more OTT with my makeup, it's also great for applying eye shadows.
The 3X is the tiny round brush, which may look a bit useless next to all of the others, but it's the definite dark horse of the collection... I use mine for applying and blending concealer and highlight underneath my brows, for highlighting the inner corner of my eyes, for disguising blemishes with concealer, for blending eye shadow and for applying lip products... The options are pretty endless!

I can't express how much I love these brushes enough. Since receiving them, I have hardly used my other brushes, they're THAT GOOD!
I do favour them for use with liquid and cream products over powder though (I usually use something else for my powder products) and they're not as easy to clean as regular style brushes, but other than that I don't have a bad word to say about them.

Have you given this style of brush a try yet? I'd love to know what you think of them!
