I'm a bit late with this post, I feel like I should apologise... It just seems crazy to me that June and July have been and gone already! It's actually Summer now (can someone let the weather know please?!) and we're already into the third week of Elodie's school holidays.
I collated these two monthly roundups into one because I've had quite a quiet time lately and I didn't want to be clutching at straws just for the sake of writing a blog post... I hope you don't mind too much.
At the start of June I went to see my main man Olly Murs when he played in Carlisle as part of his 24 Hrs Summer Tour. It was a similar show to the tour that I saw earlier in the year, with a few song changes here and there, including an amazing medley which really got the crowd going wild. There is always the fear that it will rain when you go to outdoor gigs in the UK, but it was a really warm day, unlike when I went to see Boyzone!
Olly still has tickets remaining for the last few dates of his Summer tour, which you can find all the info about here.

Although it seems like absolutely forever ago, we spent a long weekend in Birmingham in June too. We shopped, we ate (lots) and we took Elodie to Cadbury World, which I blogged about here.
I love visiting different cities, and although I'd been to Birmingham before, it was great to see and do some new things... I'm hoping to go back for some Christmas shopping later in the year.
At the end of June we celebrated my Mam's 60th and my Gran's Birthday. Neither of them like much of a fuss, so we just spent the day in each others company with a little tea party that my Gran put together. My Aunty came through for the day too and we had such a great time... I love that there are four generations of girls in our family, and treasure our time together.

As you can see from Elodie's outfit above, she is now a fully fledged Brownie. I mentioned previously that she has started to go, and she still loves it just as much.
I went along to her awards evening where she was given her first badges that she'd earned and had to say her Brownie Promise in front of all of the other parents. I was a bit worried she'd go shy and not be able to do it, but she was amazing. I'm such a proud Mammy!
Elodie was invited to lots of her friends birthday parties over June and July, her favourite being held at the same farm where we had her 1st birthday party. Although it was a really wet day, we managed to dodge the showers and feed the lovely animals (I think I enjoyed this part as much as the children did) and Elodie had a ride on a horse.

As I mentioned, we're into the Summer holidays now, and Elodie will be going into year three when she goes back in September. She loved her last few weeks of year 2 and keeps telling me she can't wait to go back.
It's so nice to have a child who loves school and loves learning as much as Elodie does - I'm so lucky!
In her first week off we went to the cinema to see Despicable Me 3. If you haven't seen this or the other Minions films, I can't recommend them enough, they're really funny, and just as enjoyable for adults as they are for the younger ones.
Last week we attended two food festivals, mainly due to my love for street food and discovering new treats. We went to York for the Great British Food Festival, which I blogged about here and the following day we went to my local town's yearly festival.
Both were so much fun, I definitely ate too much, but came home with lots of delicious cakes, brownies, breads and cheeses to keep us going for a few days... If it was up to me I'd be going to these every weekend!
On the last day of July we visited our favourite seaside town; Scarborough. We hit really lucky with the weather, and were able to have a day packed with fun activities.
We went for fish & chips on the seafront, played in the arcades, ate delicious ice creams (did you see the photo of mine on Instagram?!), made sand castles, went on the speedboat and finished the day at the funfair where Elodie managed to drag me on the Ferris Wheel... Can you see the fear hidden behind my smile in the last photo?!

Now I've written this, I guess we did more during June & July than I thought... It's actually been really fun!
Have you been up to much during the past few months?
