In my last 'round up' style post, I am finally bringing my 2017 favourites post to you, a little later than planned, but I decided to give myself some time off over Christmas and New Year, which I thoroughly enjoyed and needed! Despite questioning whether I was a bit late to go ahead with this post, I still see others posting them and to be honest there were just too many wonderful beauty discoveries made, for me not to post this, so here goes...

There were in fact, so many products that I loved, that I had to cut the list down to my top ten products of the year, so you know, if they made they cut, they're actually worth trying!
The first beauty product that springs to mind when I think about my favourite products of the year is the Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer. I absolutely love this primer, and couldn't live without it, so please Pixi, never stop making this!
I love my makeup to have a dewy finish to it, and this gives the most amazing glow when worn under or on top of any of my base products and on the rare days when I have good skin, and don't need makeup; this looks incredible as a tinted moisturiser, brightening and enhancing my complexion. I also love to lightly apply this as a highlight on my cheekbones and down the centre of my nose... It's a multi-use product that just doesn't disappoint.

I feel like I have searched for the dream concealer for years, and LA Girl Pro Conceal is the best I've found so far, and even better, it's incredibly priced and very affordable. It's so lightweight on the skin, blends out perfectly, brightens, conceals and doesn't crease... What more could you ask for?!
The only thing I'd change about this would be to have an even lighter option in the shade range, but that's just my fault for being so pale!

In general, I feel as though I have three foundations that I truly love and that I will always go back to, which I spoke about here. This year, the stand out option for me has been the YSL Le Teint foundation. It's so easy to apply and easy to wear with long lasting results. It covers all blemishes and dark circles and leaves my skin looking flawless every time I wear it, with a gorgeous subtle glow... Even on days when I've had no sleep, I can apply this and instantly look refreshed - A definite holy grail base product for me.

There has only been one bronzer/contouring product for me this year, ever since discovering the amazing Rodial Instaglam Deluxe Contouring Powder, nothing else has compared. Yes it's very pricey, but believe me it's really worth it... the quality of the product is higher than any other I have tried, it's 10.5g so lasts a long time, and the packaging is stunning.
The powder is a universal matte brown shade, which creates the most realistic, yet defined shadows to the face to give an amazing contoured look, whether applied lightly for a natural look or built up to give a really sculpted contour for evening. If you're going to splash out and treat yourself to a product this year, make it this one, you won't regret it.

After speaking of contouring, I need to mention highlight, and my product of choice this year has been the Lola Highlighting Powder. In contrast to the Rodial product, this is much more compact, but it is much more affordable (currently £7.67 in the sale!)
The powder itself is so fine, and delicate that it blends seamlessly onto the skin, giving a diffused, glowy finish to the cheekbones, brow bone, cupids bow... Wherever you wish to wear it. And great news for pale skinned girls, the champagne toned gold is really flattering and natural on the skin. I can't get enough of it!
When it comes to lips there have been two real stand out brands and products for me; step forward NYX Liquid Suede and Charlotte Tilbury 'Very Victoria'. One from the lower end of the price spectrum, one much higher priced, but both amazing quality, colour and definite stand outs for me.
The NYX liquid lipsticks are available in a huge range of colours, with my two favourites being 'Soft Spoken' which is a brown toned nude and 'Cherry Skies' a burgundy toned red. The pigmentation is amazing and the colours last all day on the lips with very little fading, and best of all, they're incredibly comfortable to wear... I love wearing 'Soft Spoken' for a daytime look, and 'Cherry Skies' is my go-to night out red.
Charlotte Tilbury needs little introduction and as a fan of her lipsticks especially, I just had to include my most worn shade in this round up. 'Very Victoria' (inspired by Victoria Beckham) is the creamiest matte lipstick I have ever used, it glides onto the lips so smoothly, and feels nourishing all day long, never drying out on my lips. The shade is described as a 'taupe nude' and is very wearable for day or night... This is the lippie I always have in my handbag to wear day to day.

As a rule, I don't wear eye shadow very often, but every time I've bothered this year, I have reached for my Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette, so thought it deserved a mention. I love matte eye shadows, and feel like they suit my style more than anything shimmery, so when this palette landed on my doorstep, I felt excitement over eye shadow for the first time in my life. This collection of neutral and really flattering matte shades has everything I could want in a pallette... The lighter and pinker shades are beautiful for daytime and the deeper shades can be blended to create some beautiful night time looks. Of course, it's Urban Decay too, so you know the quality and colour pay off is second to none - I'm so happy to have a palette I feel like I really love.

For my skin, I have been massively impressed with everything that I have tried from the Formula 10.0.6 range, but the product I feel really need shouting about is their Pores Be Pure Face Mask, which not only smells delicious, but feels incredible on the skin. This boasts ingredients such as strawberry, yarrow and rosemary, which combine to deliver the wonderful scent as well as to fight impurities, refresh and clarify the skin while unclogging pores.
I have been reaching for this at least once a week for around four months now (it's my definite mask of choice) and I can't begin to tell you how much improvement I have seen in my pores... They're disappearing and I love it!

Finally, I have to talk about the Luxe Studio Makeup Brushes, as they surprised me and impressed me so much. Since receiving these, they have been pretty much the only brushes I have used, as they make application of makeup so effortless. The bristles are densely packed, yet really soft and they pick up product really easily and the slightly weighted handles make controlling the brushes really easy.
My favourite three brushes from the collection are the ones I use for foundation, contour and highlight, but they're all multi-use and can be used for any product or task you wish.
Best of all (apart from the way they look, obviously!), they're really affordable, yet for the quality, you wouldn't know it.

Have I mentioned any of your favourite products here?
I'd love to know what you've been loving over the past twelve months!
