Everyone aspires to be happy, don't they?
I think it would be fair to say that my life has been somewhat of a roller coaster over the past twelve months or so, but I have always been a strong believer that everything happens for a reason. We learn from experiences, whether they are good or bad, we develop and we grow.
Despite feeling my lowest ever at certain points, I have learned how to be truly happy this year, and right now, I'm feeling amazing.
Prioritise what's important: Some things matter, some things really don't and I think it's a very important thing to focus and prioritise on the things that are truly important in life. Learn to take a step back and evaluate things, don't stress and worry over the little things, that won't matter tomorrow.
Prioritising the things that will make changes, that will benefit you and never be worried about prioritising yourself, sometimes you have to, and you deserve it.

Don't worry about what anyone else thinks: This has held me back for so long. I've always been a worrier, I've always wanted to please others and will always try my best to impress, exceed expectations or over achieve... Which isn't necessarily a bad thing at all, however it does come with it's fair amount of added stress and pressure.
I've started to relax a bit, forget about pleasing others, and do what makes me happy in life and with my blog. For example, I would have usually worried about what people thought of me putting a photo of myself in my underwear online, but I have learned to do things for myself. I love this beautiful lingerie set from Hunkemoller and wanted to share it with you all. The quality is amazing, the fit is so comfortable and best of all, it's insanely pretty.
Remove negativity from your life: This can be interpreted in different ways, depending on your situation. Anything negative that's in your life, isn't necessary; be it a job, a person, a task...
If a person comes into your life and has a negative effect, realise that they don't matter and remove them. If someone puts you down, don't let them dampen your mood and if someone doesn't support you in something you believe in or want, evaluate whether they're worth having around.
There's a quote I've read which says something along the lines of 'take notice of those who don't clap when you win'... This really struck a chord with me, and it's so true, sometimes people are in your life for the wrong reasons, don't let them be.

Don't be afraid to dream big: This year I have decided to make things happen for myself, rather than waiting for things to happen for me. Which may sound a little cryptic, but it can be interpreted in a number of ways to suit anyone's situation.
I have always wanted to run my own business and own a beautiful house... and I'm determined to make these things happen. Even though things like this can feel a million miles away and completely out of reach, it isn't always the case...
The house is first on our list, and then the business, which may be a little more work. However, with a little help from a family member, a trusted friend or an investor, things ca get moving pretty quickly when it comes to business. I learned this through a conversation I had with the people at Northcash, a small loan can take you a long way, and as long as you make the agreed repayments, you're never going to get in any trouble. I've got my fingers crossed that I will achieve my goals without a loan, but it's nice to know all of the options available to me.
Even if I never get my dream business started, the idea of it and the passion I have keeps me happy and motivated, which is all that I need.

I would love to know what makes you happy, and any changes you've made in your life to improve it.
