Happy Mother's Day to all of the lovely Mum's, Mam's and Ma's who read my blog.
I was challenged by Garnier to spend a bit of quality time with my Mam in the lead up to today, getting to know each other a little more while pampering ourselves with some of the gorgeous Garnier sheet masks that you probably already know I love.

As I'm a Mother too, I took advantage and spolied myself to another mask and spot of relaxation with Elodie while answering the same questions that I asked my Mam... We had so much fun!
Elodie's at such a great age now, where she loves to hang out with me, painting nails, learning about makeup and enjoying some girly time.
Garnier set the questions, and although Elodie didn't understand them all, she loved asking me them and I thought I'd share them on here for you to read anyway... Maybe she'll come back to this post in a few years time and read my answers allover again.
What's your favourite part of your body?
My legs... I don't feel like I ever put weight on my legs, and always feel confident in skirts and dresses... I just wish they weren't so white!

Who would play you in a movie of your life?
I think it would have to be Courteney Cox... Although we don't look alike I really love her as an actress, so she would have to be my first choice, followed by Rachel Bilson.

Who is your weird celebrity crush?
I have a bit of a thing for Jamie Oliver... is that a weird one or not? I also like Greg Rutherford, although I don't think that's particularly weird either!

Ever gone commando?
I have but I don't make a habit of it! Only when I'm wearing something fitted and I don't want VPL.

What's your party trick?
I can't really think of anything for this one... I don't like to draw attention to myself.

What's the worst date you've been on?
I don't think I've ever had a bad date to be honest... I never really dated much! The only thing that comes to mind is the first time Robbie & I met for a drink, I was insanely shy and nervous, but it wasn't bad, we're still together 11 years later so it can't have been!

Was I planned?
Yes, but it still felt like the biggest shock of my life when I took the pregnancy test, I didn't expect it to happen so quickly... Still it was the best thing that ever happened.

If I was a boy, what would you have named me?
Well, if it had been up to me, it would have been Ronan... I'm not sure if Robbie would have agreed on that though. We found out we were having a girl straight away, so we didn't ever discuss boy's names in much detail.

What is your greatest achievement?
Having Elodie is without doubt my biggest achievement in life... I'm also really proud of winning the J&J Beauty award for Best Established Beauty Blogger last year and being able to take my blog full time.

What's the first album/gig you went to/bought?
The first album I bought was Eternal 'Power of a Woman' and the following day I went back and bought Boyzone's 'Said & Done' album. Being such a huge Boyzone fan now, it always annoys me when I think back to the day I was deliberating between the two and wish I'd picked up Boyzone first, just so I could truly say theirs was the first album I ever bought!
My first gig was of course Boyzone, at Newcastle Arena when I was about 12... That was the first of many.

What's the biggest fashion mistake you've made?
Looking back through the 90's there were so many, but some of the trends have started coming back around again! I think back to when I was around 18-19 and I used to go out to clubs wearing slogan t-shirts, long pearl necklaces and denim mini skirts was a pretty tragic time for fashion... Definitely not a good look!
My Mam didn't fancy having her photo taken for this post, but she was happy to answer the questions, and I learned so much while asking her these.

What's your favourite part of your body?
My shoulders, because they're the only part of me that hasn't aged.

Who would play you in a movie of your life?
I'd have to choose Julie Walters, she's a really good character actress and she's not much older than me so she would understand things I would tell her about my life.

Who is your weird celebrity crush?
There's a few... David Walliams, Dermot O'Leary, although that's probably not a weird one and Jose Murinho.

Ever gone commando?
No!

What's your party trick?
It used to be flipping piles of beer mats, although I don't know if I could do it now.

What's the worst date you've been on?
Does my wedding day count? I got left in the pub car park in my wedding dress (in the middle of February in the freezing cold) and everyone else left to go home. Luckily they realised I was missing and came back for me!

Was I planned?
Yes.

If I was a boy, what would you have named me?
Paul Oliver, the Oliver part because it was your paternal Grandmother's maiden name.

What is your greatest achievement?
Oh there's a few... Passing my 11+ (when you moved from junior school to the grammar school), Getting my teaching certificate, having a baby and getting through my divorce.

What's the first album/gig you went to/bought?
The first album was David Cassidy's 'Cherish' and I think the first gig was when I went to see Smokie at the Coatham Bowl in Redcar when I was about 19.

What's the biggest fashion mistake you've made?
Haha, everything?! When I was about 16 I got a flared coat and it was large blue and white checks... It made me look as wide as I was tall. It was horrible, but I thought it was great.
There was also a grey trouser suit which I wore with a red blouse and red and white shoes. I thought I was so dressed up!

I can't recommend the Garnier sheet masks enough, there are masks tailored to suit all skin types, and they're completely mess free and so easy to use. I love how incredibly soft and silky my skin feels after using them.
I hope you've all enjoyed your Mother's day, and for those of you lucky enough to have children, I hope you've been spoiled rotten!
