Popping on a face mask is one of my favourite ways to treat myself and my skin.
At the end of a long week, there really is no better feeling than lying back and relaxing for ten minutes of pamper time, and when I'm feeling really lazy, a sheet mask feels like the answer to all of my prayers.

Sheet masks, in my opinion, are one of the best inventions ever, and over the past year or so, they seem to have really taken over and more and more options are becoming available.
They're made to cater for every skin type, so no matter what you search for in a face mask, I'm pretty sure there's some form of sheet mask to tick the boxes for you too.
Best of all, they're quick, they're so easy and hassle free, they're mess free and there's no product wasted... Can you tell I'm a fan?!
Personally, when I look for a face mask, I want something that is cooling and calming, something that is hydrating, brightening, anti ageing, cleansing and awakening, or a mixture of any of the above.
It would be fair to say that I have tried a lot of face masks over the years, and through doing so, I feel like I know a good one when I find one.
Of course, skincare is subjective, and it all depends on what you're looking for, your skin type and what your skin issues are, but for anyone with slightly sensitive, combination but predominantly dry skin, then these are the 5 sheet masks that I recommend you try.

This mask is beautifully refreshing on the skin, and instantly soothes and cools when applied. It contains a blend of volcanic water, ginseng root extract, amino acids and antioxidants which work to rejuvenate the skin by lifting and brightening the skin after just one use of the mask.
I originally used this after my microdermabrasion, and I felt like it worked wonders for me, as it almost instantly hydrated my skin, and left it feeling moisturised and protected for days after use.
As far as sheet masks go, this is one of the wetter ones I have used (I like to use any extra product on my neck too), the product really does sink into the skin well, and after a little adjusting, the mask will stay in place while worn.
These masks are suitable for all skin types, is recommended to be left on the skin for 20-25 minutes and can be used 2-3 times per week.

I have spoken about my love for the Garnier masks before, and this has to be my current favourite, as it's so different from any others I've tried.
This is a black tissue mask, but please don't let the colour put you off! I'ts a purifying and hydrating, pore-tightening mask enriched with charcoal, black algae extract, LHA and hyaluronic acid. (If you don't already know, LHA is an acid which lifts dead skin cells from the surface of the skin to help stop pores from clogging and prevents new spots forming.)
As with all of the Garnier sheet masks, this is a great shape, with slits cut into the mask, meaning they will sit comfortably on any face shape or size. After wearing for 15 minutes, the mask leaves the skin feeling incredibly smooth and moisturised and after a few weeks of using this mask I have noticed that my skin is looking much clearer.

The first thing I have to mention about this mask, as the name suggests, it's dry! There is no serum or product anywhere to be seen, it's completely mess free and so easy to use.
Despite looking and feeling like a simple sheet of cloth, this mask is in fact enriched with vitamins, floral extracts, peptides, oils and butters which are clinically proven to reduce wrinkles, smooth, brighten, lift and hydrate.
Because of the dry nature of this mask, it won't harbour any bacterial, and is REUSABLE! Yes, you can use this up to three times, making the price point much better value.
This only needs to be worn for 15 minutes, and the ingredients work on the skin for up to 8 hours... It's all round a really revolutionary product.

If you're searching for a sheet mask that is not only effective, but is also purse friendly, then look no further! The Beauty Pro masks are all really affordable and different variations are available for different skin types, for men, for hair and so much more... Their range is huge (I really love their under eye mask too.)
The Brightening mask which I favour for my skin, is enriched with anti-ageing marine collagen and Vitamin C. Together they combat damaged, dull skin, brighten the complexion and increase the skin's elasticity. After a 15 minute treatment, I always find that my skin feels really hydrated and looks so much brighter and more awake - It's a great pick me up mask if I feel like I need a refresh before a night out or just after a long week!

Seoulista are a Korean skincare brand who make their sheet masks from completely natural ingredients. This coconut mask was created by dermatologists and contains witch hazel and eucalyptus, which help to soothe irritation, breakouts and redness.
Like most other sheet masks, this has the gel-like formula, which is instantly cooling on application, and can be massaged into the skin after use... If you suffer from sensitive or tight feeling skin, I highly recommend giving this a try.
After leaving the mask on my skin for 20 minutes, my skin was left feeling and looking so much calmer, the redness on my cheeks was almost gone and everything felt so much smoother.

Let me know in the comments which sheet masks are your favourites, and if you've tried any that I have mentioned.
