I don't know about you, but I can't think of anyone who doesn't appreciate a stocking at Christmas time. I may be well into my thirties, but unwrapping some presents at the end of my bed before I've even had chance to brush my hair or look in the mirror, is one of my favourite traditions.
I love to gift stockings too, packing a mixture of little things into a stocking for a friend or family member, is often much more personal and more exciting than one big gift.
This year, the beauty brands we all know and love have released some wonderful stocking fillers
Pixi always impress me with their gift sets and cute packaging, and this year's Holiday Collection is no exception. Their mini skin treats sets make the most beautiful presents and are a great way of introducing their skincare to a loved one. The Multi-Masking Medley with mini face masks and flash balm is a wonderful treat for the skin, and the Best Of Rose set including the new Rose Tonic is just perfect for anyone with young or sensitive skin. The whole selection of gifts from Pixi are available online or in most Marks & Spencer stores.
I also really like the Burts Bees gifting options this year and I think the little baubles are just the cutest things either to hang on the tree for Christmas morning or to pop inside the stockings. Anyone and everyone, male, female, any age can and should use their lip balms, they're completely natural, available in some beautiful flavours and are probably the best I've ever used, so these are a brilliant gift idea for all of the family.

A possible obvious but always appreciated socking filler for the woman in your life is some of her favourite nail varnish, as a girl can never have too much! If you're unsure of which to go for the Millie Mackintosh Nail polish Couture Classics set for this Christmas is stunning, with three such sleek and classy shades, ideal for someone who likes to keep things sophisticated. Millie's whole range is in the 3 for 2 deal at Boots at the moment too, so you can tick a few presents off the list in one go there! If you're buying for someone who likes to be bolder, brighter and a little more stand out with her nails then take a look at the Sensationail Peel Off Polish options, there are glitters, brights and so many colours to choose from - I love the gold one!

Makeup will never go amiss in a stocking either, so pop in something that everyone will love, like the IT cosmetics Confidence In Your Glow palette, a stunning bronzer, blusher and highlighter in one from such an amazing brand, this ticks all of the boxes and will suit pretty much every skin tone. Another pressie sure to get you on the good list is buying your girl a new Beauty Blender - Everyone needs / wants one of these, they're available all over the high street and they're the cutest size to fit into the stocking, there's really no excuses not to add one of these to your shopping list.

A lovely idea is to buy a makeup bag and fill it with lots of individually wrapped presents, catered to the individual recipient... It's a great way to introduce new brands and products to your friends and family and things like this are always so fun to unwrap! I'll definitely be including some beautiful products from Freshly in the stockings I'm giving out this year; Their Nourish Restore hair mask has worked wonders for me and their Deep Nourish lip balm is a present that anyone would love to receive. I also think most girls would love a fancy new pair of rose gold tweezers in their makeup bag and stocking too.

I have spoken about my love for the Missguided perfumes before on my blog, and knowing that it just isn't Christmas without a new fragrance in your life, they have cleverly released cute little rollerball's of all of their scents. My personal favourite is Boss Babe, but trust me when I say, they all smell great and are such a handy design, any woman would be happy to pop this into her handbag and as an added bonus, they're less than £10 each!

I always hope for chocolate in my stocking, and the little gift box of Prestat Marc de Champagne Truffles would be a welcome addition to anyone's Christmas presents I'm sure. Firstly, how cute is the stocking shaped box? I love good packaging, but also, I know from experience, these truffles are really yummy, who doesn't love hand crafted chocolates?! I also always hope for a good CD or two each Christmas, as all of the new releases seem to be in the shops at this time of year. My top pick for 2018 has to be Boyzone's 'Thank You And Goodnight' album, but you probably already guessed I'd say that! Trust me though, despite my biased opinion, it's a good one!

I love to support independent shops as much as possible, and as soon as I saw these beautiful travel inspired watercolour postcards from Montgomeryfest (quite possibly the cutest little shop I have ever seen) I just knew I had to include them in my gift guide. I can't decide whether to gift them all to one person, or pop them in little frames with notes on the back for individual people - either way, I think they make the loveliest little gift. Another brand I have recently discovered is Pick n Melt, a wife and husband team based in Hampshire who make vegan friendly wax melts and candles in over 350 scents (the largest selection in the UK). Needless to say, there are fragrances to suit anyone's preferences, including some beautiful Christmas themed ones including 'Dads Christmas Pud', 'Cinnamon Swirl' and 'Christmas Spice' - My personal favourite, these are made to be put into stockings! A third independent brand brought to my attention this year are Boxwild who launched their wildlife gift and subscription boxes in 2016. They produce birdseed, hedgehog food and so much more, described as the best and most nutritious available and they support wildlife charities around the country too. Their recipes and blends of seeds encourage more birds and wildlife into the garden and make a lovely extra present for anyone who enjoys time outside admiring the wildlife.

Personalised presents are always wonderful to receive, and to give and this year I have been really impressed with Tesco's personalised gift offerings. They have a huge range of products to choose from, the website is really simple to navigate and designing your products is easy. Delivery time and service is great, with the option to collect in store and the quality of everything I designed really impressed me. I love the keyrings and fridge magnets for affordable yet unique stocking fillers. Lastly, I think that a personalised phone case or laptop skin is a great idea too, whether you design something with a photo, a little message or just upload a design that is unique to your recipient Caseapp have endless options for pretty much every phone you could want.
