It's February already, which means Valentine's day is just around the corner - the time when you want to show your other half just how much they mean to you and spoil them with gifts, chocolates and kisses. I wrote a couple of gift guides last year and they seemed really popular, so I decided to do the same again. Hopefully I'll be able to help a few of you out and inspire some present ideas for your loved ones. This post contains gifted products.
For Her...
I think it's fair to say that (from personal preferences anyway!) to keep the lady in your life happy this Valentine's that you can't go wrong with a nice meal out, chocolates and flowers. If you want extra brownie points, I think a man buying the outfit for her to wear at the meal is really romantic too.

When it comes to presents, some beautiful bath products will never go amiss. Baylis & Harding are a brand I always look to for gifting options, as they're so affordable yet have the look and feel of real luxury products. Their Valentine's options this year include some delicious sounding products in Pink Fizz & Elderflower fragrance, all packed in baby pink and gold. The Bath Bubbles (gifted) which are presented in a champagne style bottle are only £7 and can be picked up during the food shop in Tesco and the huge gift set  (gifted) is stocked on Amazon, so if you need something last minute, it's ideal!
If you want to buy something that's a real treat, yet practical, The French Bedroom Company have some beautiful, unique and really stylish home and fragrance gift ideas. I love the Portus Cale candles (gifted), which come in elegant boxes and they look and smell really luxurious. The jar is made of frosted glass and the rose blush scent is heavenly... Of course the pink packaging fits in perfectly for Valentines too, but if other colours are more your taste, there are lots to choose from!
If you want to buy jewellery, but aren't quite ready to pop the question just yet, I think heart shaped pieces are the perfect gift. Whether you opt for a pendant, a bracelet or some dainty little earrings like this beautiful pair from Hersey & Son (gifted), any woman would be happy to receive them. The studs are so pretty, so personal and are still the type of piece you can wear day to day, always reminding you of your loved one who bought you them.

I always think makeup is a great gift for any lady too... A girl can never have too much! Encased in rose gold, the Charlotte Tilbury gift sets are sure to put a smile on any recipients face, I know I'd be over the moon with anything from CT! With something for every budget, I really recommend taking a look at the Hollywood lips sets (gifted) which hold two mini liquid lipsticks or the gorgeous gold clutch encasing four mini makeup brushes (gifted).
For Him...
I always think that men are harder to buy for any time of year, but for Valentine's it becomes even harder as most don't like all things pink and covered in hearts! Aftershave is an easy option for any time of year when it comes to buying a present for a man, and luckily, the choices are pretty endless. I really recommend having a test of lots of brands and scents before choosing for your man, but my personal favourite at the moment is Viktor & Rolf's Spicebomb, it's really unique and always catches my attention.

I also think fashion accessories are a good place to start when looking for presents for the man in your life. Does he need a new scarf, wallet, socks or a bag? Practical presents can never be wrong for a man!
For Anyone...
One of my favourite gift options that I have seen this year, which would be suitable for any Friends fan is the You're My Lobster print (gifted). These can be personalised with any message, names or dates at the bottom too, making it a really personal and thoughtful gift. I'd love to be given this and would hang it with pride in my house!

Also from The Gift Experience (which stocks thousands of gift ideas) is the Name A Star present (gifted), which I've heard about for years but never really looked into. You can choose to name a star after the person you love, a nickname you share or your family name and gift them this pack which comes complete with a certificate for your star and it's new name, a constellations book and a chart to tell you exactly where to find your star - I can't think of anyone would wouldn't love this as a gift.
Last, but certainly not least, why not buy your love a chocolate bouquet?! This huge, Valentines bouquet (gifted) can be personalised with any name or message is literally bursting with delicious chocolate bar favourites, chocolate hearts, a balloon and the chocolate bar complete with message. It's a real showstopper of a gift, for him, for her, or even just for yourself!
